Dune House 1 is a modern interpretation of driftwood on the edge of a beach. The exterior wooden wall shields the property from the street for privacy and opens up to the ocean side to take advantage of the expansive coastal views.

The second-floor bedrooms cantilever over the pool seating area to provide shade over the outdoor lounge while maintaining the coastline connection.

The brown and gray natural interior palette takes cues from the colors associated with wood aged over time by the sea. The large living area on the first floor openly flows from the kitchen to dining room to living room, with a focus on the large glass façade facing the water. The façade opens to provide an indoor to outdoor connection with the beach that is just steps away.
