Following our 2018 feasibility study, S3 Design continued the design and construction of the Snyder Center for Health and Wellness at Lynn University, transforming a 1963 mid-century modern building into a comprehensive Health and Wellness Center. This adaptive re-use project supports the university’s vision of a unified place for overall student wellbeing that includes physical and mental health, fitness and recreation, counseling services, and student health services.

We developed and prioritized program spaces to meet budgetary needs, and collaborated with the university to balance visibility, identity, and privacy for each service. The experience was fully reconfigured to improve layout and flow, with a new entrance replacing the former loading dock. Updated building systems and windows enhance energy efficiency and comfort, aligning the project with the university’s goals for a unified student wellness space.
